Access to GCU Archive and Special Collections

Different sources will be relevant to help you research your chosen topic/area of interest. Archive material may be useful for certain subject areas. 

Our Archive Centre holds a number of collections which might be of interest to social work students. These include: 

  • Association of CHILDREN 1st (formerly the Royal Scottish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children) records
  • Directors of Social Work (ADSW) records
  • Heatherbank Social Work collection

Students studying Dietetics and Nutrition may be interested in  the  records from The Queen's College, Glasgow (formerly the Glasgow and West of Scotland College of Domestic Science) collection.

If you are studying Media our Creative Arts collections may be useful to explore.
